A very warm welcome to the Cambridge Law Studio website.
As a lawyer or a law student, you are probably visiting our site because you want to make an investment in your future. We will do our best to make sure that your visit to our Cambridge centre is the best investment you can make.
Our classrooms are within the University of Cambridge campus at the Girton College site. The college provides an excellent environment for concentrated study and effective learning as it is situated in its own quiet gardens about 15 minutes from Cambridge city centre.
The focus of our lessons is always practical and up-to-date. We study the language that you need to deal with commercial contracts, commercial law and every day office skills such as accurate letter writing and effective negotiating. We also explain for you the sources of English law, how we function without a civil code, and the basic principles of contract and commercial law within the common law system.
Our academic director is Catherine Mason, co-author of ‘The Lawyer’s English Language Coursebook’. Catherine holds the Graduate Diploma in Law and qualified as a teacher of English as a foreign language in 1988.
Our teachers include solicitors, tax experts and teachers of more specialised business English. All are also qualified teachers of English and all work hard to support our reputation as a centre of excellence.
