What we can do for you
You are a law student or a recent law graduate with great ambition and you realise the importance of having excellent English language skills in achieving your goal of working in law at an international level. However, you are very busy and you don’t have much opportunity to study English. Maybe you have bought some legal English books but you don’t fully understand them or they don’t contain the type of information you need.
What you really need is a good understanding of the legal vocabulary that you need to use every day in an international office. This includes the vocabulary of commercial contracts, giving legal opinions and explaining the law of your own country in English. You would also like to be more confident when speaking and writing in English and be sure you are not making any bad mistakes. Maybe you will soon be going to job interviews and would like to be able to impress your future employer with your English skills.
Legal English Plus is the course for you. We have years of experience of preparing lawyers and law students for life in a hard-working commercial law firm. We are members of the International Division of the Law Society of England and Wales, which is the organisation which grants English lawyers a licence to practise law. The TOLES Advanced exam
Although this course is not designed as preparation for an exam, we feel that an exam at the end of the course is good motivation for everyone to do their very best. On the final Friday afternoon of your course we offer you the two-hour TOLES Advanced examination. ‘TOLES’ means Test of Legal English Skills.
