In order to help you fulfil your potential in learning this very specialised language we have developed a unique and effective 4-step method that will dramatically increase your knowledge and confidence in just a few days. STEP 1: A Good Foundation
We begin with essential words. At the beginning we concentrate on the precise vocabulary that you need to reach your learning goals.
STEP 2: Building and Progressing
We then move on to short, authentic blocks of legal English. From your knowledge of technical vocabulary, you can now explain complex sentences in clear, plain English. In other words, you can begin to deal with short contract clauses or complicated sentences from any legal document.
STEP 3: Gaining Confidence
We continue with intensive analysis of contracts and commercial documents so that you can practise your new skills. We have developed challenging and interesting study materials, which give you a unique opportunity to learn and discuss legal English in a supportive environment. Working with colleagues or as an individual, you can now analyse and advise upon a wide variety of legal documents. By now you are also very well prepared for the TOLES examination.
STEP 4: Success and Consolidation
You now have the English language skills that you need in the modern legal environment and all you need to do is practise and consolidate. We will advise you on the best way to keep your study skills up to date once you have completed your course and encourage you to keep in touch with the trainers who worked with you at Cambridge Law Studio.
